Before being licensed as a therapist, I worked as a social worker for the State of Florida. I have training and background in crisis management. I no longer provide crisis services. However, I do specialize in trauma-informed therapy. I find that many people are misdiagnosed with personality disorders when they have been through complex trauma. Addressing the core trauma themes may alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety. Learning about the mind-body connection is where I like to begin my approach to treating trauma. We will go at your pace with some encouragement to those who may be afraid to take this first step to healing.
